Kalim Beach is situated in the north of Patong – unlike the golden sands of Patong Beach, Kalim beach is usually very quiet, making it ideal for Patong dwellers who do not wish to stray too far away to find their own spot in the sun. There are usually some stalls nearby Kalim Beach selling food, beverages and souvenirs, but they do not intrude onto the beach itself, staying on the beach road. There are a large number of scenic rocks and crags around Kalim Beach, and reefs for those who venture into the sea. Kalim Beach offers the same beautiful seascape as Patong Beach, but there is a good deal more privacy here for sun-lovers.
