Kathu Waterfall
From the direction of Patong, you should take a left at the lights next to the Caltex. After travelling for 1km, you should see a sign showing you the way to the waterfall – it is made of black marble. Follow the sign to Kathu Waterfall. It is a popular tourist destination, and as with all places commonly visited by tourists, there are food stalls for you to enjoy. The waterfall is quite accessible, with a stairway, and when you reach the waterfall itself you will find seating enabling you to enjoy a picnic. Some of the waterfall has been landscaped, so there are a couple of extra drop pools, but this adds to the charm of Kathu waterfall. If you want to go all the way to the top of the cascade, you can do so, but it is a steep and difficult climb. The tropical scenery at the top may make it all seem worthwhile.
