Located north of the Two Heroine’s Monument, the Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Sanctuary is home to many different types of wild animals. Boar, langurs, gibbons, bears and monkeys are just a few of the species that can be found here. The tropical rainforest here is completely unspoiled, so it is a true taste of Phuket’s natural beauty. You can expect to see many different types of bird in the sanctuary, as well as a plethora of tropical fauna. The Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Sanctuary features two different waterfalls – Bang Pae and Ton Sai falls. During the rainy season, the deluges coming over the waterfalls can be spectacular to witness.
