Phang Nga Bay

Phang Nga Bay covers a wide area, taking in a large part of Krabi. Strictly speaking, Phang Nga Bay is not part of Phuket at all, although many visitors to Phuket end up going there to see the spectacular scenery. It is typically only an hour from Patong to reach the anchorage, where your boat to Phang Nga Bay will await you. The journey to and from the bay is incredible, with tree-lined islands jutting vertically out of the water. The Phang Nga Bay area includes James Bond Island, named after the film that it is featured in (The Man with the Golden Gun). Opportunities for snorkeling and canoeing are bountiful here, and the epic scenery that will surround you on your trip will stay your memories long after you return to your hotel.
