Phuket Zoo can be found approximately 3 kilometres south from Phuket Town on the Chalong road. It is a large zoo, boasting almost 30 acres of delightful scenery. But most people naturally come to see the animals – there are camels, tigers, emus and numerous crocodiles to see here. It’s a good place for a family trip, and there are always shows taking place. If you are brave enough, you can watch the crocodile wrestling show. There are many amenities on offer at Phuket Zoo, and plenty of food and beverage outlets. For those wishing to see Thailand’s most symbolic animal, there are also elephants at the zoo, which perform shows for the visitors and even give elephant rides. There is something for everybody to enjoy here.
