Prom Thep Cape

Open Hours: 24 hrs
Promthep Cape is located at the far south of the island of Phuket between Rawai Beach and Nai Harn Beach, and offers what many believe to be one of the best sunsets in the world. Even the local Thais never get bored of watching the sun go down here, and they gather in their hundreds every day to witness the spectacle, easily outnumbering the foreign visitors who come to see the same glorious sight. During the daytime, you are offered a great view of the surrounding seas and coastlines thanks to Promthep Cape’s elevated position. There are cafes and restaurants on hand to supply the many visitors with all the amenities they might need. It’s often difficult to park near the Cape at sunset, so you may need to go further down the road and walk up the hill to the viewpoint. It is certainly worth the effort. Watching the skies slowly turning pink, red and purple, it is a beautiful sight that everybody can enjoy for free.
