Sometimes when people consider booking a holiday to Phuket, they overlook the opportunity of staying on the East Coast and the nearby islands. It is true that the majority of Phuket’s best beaches are on the West and South coast, but there are some gems on the East coast too – for example, Phang Nga Bay and its islands are renowned for their natural beauty, boasting some magnificent views. There are many opportunities for boat and canoe trips around the different parts of paradise dotted about Phang Na.
Ao Por, Po Bay, Racha Island, Yao Noi, and Coconut Island are just some of the many beautiful destinations on the East Coast and Islands of Phuket. Since the East coast is considered less mainstream than the rest of Phuket, there are some real bargains to be found here, with some great and inexpensive hotels. There are also some 5 star resorts that highlight the splendid isolation to be found on the East coast and on the islands.
