In recent years Krabi has grown in popularity, and has become a destination that offers the infrastructure, communications, activities and accommodation choices to equal, and sometimes exceeding, established destinations.
The geography, quite simply, is awesome. Wondrous limestone cliffs and mountains, some surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Andaman Sea, others by lush tropical flora and fauna. (When you get home, friends will actually want to see your photos!) You can combine relaxing in your resort with some ‘holiday of a lifetime’ activities, such as diving, snorkeling, fishing, canoeing, elephant trekking, mountain biking and rock climbing.
Krabi can be explored and experienced though its well established, and professionally operated, tour companies. Bus and water taxi services make it easy to get around. The roads are uncongested and the network is excellent. To hire a car is a great way to tailor your own tour. Ao Nang, Railay, Ko Lanta, Phra Nang beach,Tonsia beach, Wat Thum Sua (Tiger Cave Temple) and Morakot (Crystal Lagoon) are a few on the long list of places to visit.
