Molly Malone’s is probably the most famous Irish Pub in Patong, and with good reason. For those of you intending to travel around Thailand, there are also branches of Molly Malone’s in Bangkok and Pattaya, but it certainly doesn’t lack character like some chain bars. Molly Malone’s caters to everybody – families, couples and friends alike – and it’s almost like walking into a typical Dubln bar when you step through the doors. They have everything that you would expect in an Irish family pub – pool tables, live televised sports, and an excellent menu of hearty food that attracts homesick expats from miles around. Naturally, they serve full pints of real Guinness, which is something of a rarity in Phuket. The atmosphere here is very friendly, and it is easy to while away many a happy hour drinking with the locals and enjoying the Irish craic.
