The Phuket Simon Cabaret is Patong’s most famous show, and the performers, who all appear to be women, are superbly talented dancers. Although the idea of watching men who have become women dancing in elaborate costumes may seem a little odd, there is nothing seedy about the show, and it is great entertainment for everybody, including families. Many people who come here find it difficult to believe that none of the performers on stage started their lives as women. There are well over 100 people on the stage and behind the scenes, and it is a spectacular show that is only rivaled in Phuket by Kamala’s Fantasea. The admission fee is very reasonable, and the shows take place twice daily – if possible, book in advance to avoid disappointment from one of Phuket’s many travel agencies.
