The legendary Phuket Safari Club is perhaps the longest established nightspot on the island, and one of the best. Located on the road from Patong to Karon, it is some way from Bangla Road and Patong’s central nightlife, but the distance is short enough that a Tuk Tuk is fairly affordable. One of the reasons that people love the Phuket Safari Club and disco is the outdoor setting – it never gets too stuffy or smoky in here. It consists of 3 main parts and has 2 separate dance areas. The Phuket Safari Disco is located downstairs, and for the true clubbers out there a late night DJ plays Techno and Trance until the sun comes up. The Safari stays open very late, especially at weekends, so if all the clubs are winding down in Patong but you are still full of energy, hail a Tuk Tuk and head for the Safari Club. It also boasts its own restaurant, ideal for late-night snacks.
