The Ska Bar is set directly on Kata Noi beach, which naturally offers its customers a superb sea view. As the name suggests, the Ska Bar is a chilled out reggae bar with a great family-friendly atmosphere. Reggae music is very popular in Thailand, so you will find a good mix of local Thais and holidaymakers here. Khun Ring is the owner of the bar, and she does everything she can to make sure that you have a wonderful evening. The mostly male staff gets into the reggae vibe, and many of them boast their own dreadlocks. There is an excellent selection of beers and cocktails here at reasonable prices. One of the highlights of the Kata Ska Bar is the live entertainment that Khun Ring provides on a regular basis. Local musicians frequently play here – naturally many of them specialize in reggae. They also have regular fire shows, which involve spectacular and seemingly dangerous feats from the performers. The Ska bar is a place that everyone can enjoy – families, couples and groups of friends alike will be guaranteed a great evening here.
