The Big Buddha
(Phra Puttamingmongkol Akenakkiri Buddha)

Set 400 meters above sea level, 45 meter high, Buddha image is visible from much of the south of the island. Its proximity commands 360° panoramic views over of the island.

Khao Phra Thaeo National Park

Located at the north of the island. A magnificent protected natural sanctuary of virgin tropical forest that is home to indigenous wildlife and rare plants, Nature trails lead to Bang Phae and Ton Sai waterfalls.

Wat Chalong

Of the 29 Buddhist temples on Phuket, Wat Chalong is the most visited. Unique because of the magnificent pagoda/chedi that houses a chip of bone, reputedly from the Buddha Himself.

Khao Rung To See Phuket

Popular with the locals Khao Rung is on a hill overlooking Phuket Town, offers good views and is popular with locals enjoying evening exercise. To Sae houses macaque Monkeys, entertaining to watch.

Heroines Monument & Thalang National Museum

On the main highway, you will pass Heroines Monument arriving from the airport. The statues represent two sisters who saved the island from the marauding Burmese. The museum is near the monument and houses many artifacts.
